A fixture on downtown Paso's Spring Street since 1947, Farmhouse has been around the block a few times.

For decades, the motel was a typical mom-and-pop operation until the previous owners were ready to retire. The couple specifically sought out Nomada Hotel Group to revitalize the historic property for the next generation. Their non-negotiables? Preserve the cottage layout and the beloved sign — which was exactly what Nomada intended to do. It was an easy sell.

So, Nomada began a
two-year renovation that honored the original footprint while reinvigorating the spaces for today’s traveler. The former innkeeper’s private residence was transformed into a welcoming lobby and lounge; the gardenscapes woven throughout the grounds were enhanced with firepits, fountains, and lush new plantings; and the bungalow-style buildings that housed the guestrooms were carefully updated for a modern, more luxurious experience.

From the red tin roofs and white board-and-batten siding to the ranch-style porches and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, the design celebrates the Farmhouse name and brings a touch of country charm right into the heart of downtown.

It’s our hope that guests will feel like they can take their shoes off, walk through the gardens, read a book, drink some delicious local wine, and feel a sense of peace that only nature can provide – all while being a few blocks from downtown Paso Robles.
